It’s Monday, January 25. What Are You Reading?

Well…I’m still reading books from last week (and the week before that) but I’m loving them so it’s not too upsetting. It’s just that my academic doorstopper textbooks are taking precedence over enjoyment reading and truth be told, I’m finding the content about language acquisition, linguistics and ESL/ELL/CLD learners fascinating. There seems to be numerous acronyms depending on which professional and professor you ask.

Even though I’m not quite finished, Circling the Sun and Your Heart is a Muscle the Size Of A Fist will be ones I will enjoy gushing about in weeks to come.

This week I hope to get started with a new short story collection titled The Unfinished World by Amber Sparks. Also, my library book group will be reading  We Are Not Ourselves by Matthew Thomas and unfortunately I can’t remember what I read in 2014. I know it was not a favorite and being 600+ pages I feel I need to tackle a little each day before our group meets in the third week of February.

What are you reading this week?

  1. Oh no – a 600+ page non favorite is definitely not one you want to be re-reading!!! I remember taking a really long time getting into that one, but really liked the second half. Emotionally tough, though. Enjoy your other books!
