It’s Monday, September 14, 2015. What Are You Reading?

We found a house guys! I even dislike posting that because I don’t want anything out there that I have to take back but I figured since I mentioned it in a few past posts, I’d share the happy news. The funny thing is, we found it by total accident. I have had numerous listings sent to me, done tireless searches and was constantly checking realtor.com. We went to look at one house and then found this by surprise. We fell in love and are now trying to get our closings on both ends to line up. I feel I can’t really exhale until I’m sitting in the new house with the key and a glass of something strong in hand. And now the packing and purging fun begins.

Last week I posted a review for Did You Ever Have A Family by Bill Clegg and it was a tough review for me to put into words. It’s one of those books that I have trouble recommending but want to because it resonated something fierce. I also finished The Martian this weekend and will post a review this week but I wasn’t too psyched about it. Don’t hate but I think I’d prefer it on the big screen.

This week I am going back to school to start an ESL endorsement program. At the library, I’ve had some great experiences working with adults and children who are learning English and want to utilize our online resources. With that and hoping to get back into teaching next year, I decided to beef up my credentials and become a student once again. I thought I’d be done after my Masters program but alas, new textbooks are being cracked this week.

  1. Yay! So glad you found a house. And that’s great about the endorsement, there’s definitely a huge need for ESL teachers. I know how you feel about cracking textbooks, I have a book from Kaplan lined up at the library, too.
