Bookish Quotes and a Photo of Colin Firth

That caught your attention, right?

Ah, the bookish quote meme. I knew it was coming. Pick only ten quotes from books, about books, bookish quotes, etc. The Broke and the Bookish are making this tough. Like picking your ten favorite books or ten favorite authors, oh wait that’s next week.

All joking aside, I decided to repost some quote images that I put up on this blog right when I started a few years ago. I used to do a quote of the week, photo of the week, recipe of the week, and other good doses alongside bookish things. I don’t know why I stopped but I am breathing life back into those topics by featuring these ten quotes that I posted at one time. Funny how I still love them!

Lovely, right? What are some of your favorite bookish quotes?

  1. Yes, that definitely got my attention! I have so many favorite quotes, especially from Jane Austen (such as, “A woman especially, if she have the misfortune of knowing anything, should conceal it as well as she can,” from Northanger Abbey, which is where the title of my blog comes from).
