New Pioneer Woman cookbook!

I love, love, love, love, love, love (you get the point) The Pioneer Woman aka Ree Drummond. Or is it the other way around? Anyway, I was first introduced to this amazing website and woman by my friend Ms. Darcy and needed an intervention when I was found on her site ALL THE TIME.

Her story about how she became a blogger is fascinating and her personality is just rare. Not affected, sincere, humorous, honest, self-deprecating, brilliant, creative – yes I’m a fan girl. She wasn’t looking for such success but just wanted to talk about her unique family, lifestyle, how she became the wife of a cattle rancher (being vegetarian), had to home-school her kids (the drive into town both ways was too much) and her experience of cooking large, hearty meals for all the ranchers. This beautifully became “The Pioneer Woman”. Did I say she was brilliant?

Anyway, if you haven’t heard of her…go right now!

Here’s her latest cookbook just in time for the holidays released yesterday on October 29th.

Her other cookbooks are just as fabulous. She is an amazing cook and her recipes are involved but not impossible. They are the kind of recipes that are unique and when you serve them to family and friends, they stand out. They require the cook to slow down and enjoy the process of creating something utterly delicious from scratch. No pre-boxed mixes and real ingredients, like butter. 🙂 The recipes have step by step photos, which I had never seen before in a cookbook. And her photography? Simply stunning! But the best part of her cookbooks and website, is her voice. She is hilarious yet familiar. You feel like you are cooking with a dear friend. These are the perfect gift for that chef in your life.
